Can anyone help?

I have what I am sure it is a newbie question and the dealer never covered this with me and maybe I’m too lazy to look in the manual but can anyone tell me the ins and outs of the drain plug in the ski locker on my new AR 195? I know about the two drain plugs on the stern of the boat but I’m assuming the plug at the bottom of the ski locker needs to be closed while on the water?

This is a debatable topic on here. Some run them open. on the water. However your manual tells you to leave them plugged while it's underway. Your call.

All of the storage drains will need to be opened out of the water sometimes with trailer jacked as high as it can go in order to get some of the trapped water to eventually make its way to the bilge. You have one inside the fuel tank area as well.

Since I've had my 24', I've only used the stern plug. I could see plugging all in to compartmentalize in case of an emergency situation.

Ok...so I went through the manual and they do recommend them in while on the water so I guess that makes sense. I found 2 at the stern on the hull, one in ski locker and one in engine compartment? I assume that’s the same as fuel compartment or am I missing that one?

My boat was a 2016 so I'm not sure if things changed with the 2019 19' redesign but my boat had: 1 in ski locker, 1 (or maybe 2) in fuel tank compartment, 1 in engine (which must be open to drain from ski locker or fuel tank IIRC), 2 in the stern for the bilge.
