I have a 2019 AR195 with the standard single axle Shoreliner trailer. Whoever had the responsibility of placing the bunks on the trailer did certainly not put them in the optimal position as they are so narrow that its hard to get the boat to sit right on the trailer and the starboard bunk broke the speedo wheel off so I need to move them wider.

The bunk carpet is also wearing down so I'm going to replace the bunks, I dont particularly want to use carpet and am thinking the rubberized covering may be the ticket allthough I would not love it if it left black streaks on the bottom of the boat. Anyone have any suggestions about bunk coverings?

I have one at the Shop. I will try to get some pictures posted up for you later this afternoon

Still interested in anyone that can help...I got some new bunks and tried a few different spots and have not found the ideal spot to mount the bunks. The rear of the boat doesn't sit correctly on the trailer. I saw this was a problem from the factory since they changed the hull for 2019 boats but there arent any pictures I've found that are easy to decipher how the brackets are mounted on the new ones.

I am having similar trouble with my 2021 195fsh. It leans to the port side when I load it on the trailer sometimes. They say to leave the live well filled to offset the weight of the batteries, but I tend to forget this and drain the live well. I, too, have considered adjusting the bunks but dont want to make it worse. I will try to photograph mine next time I launch and post up. Thanks.

I scoured youtube for an hour trying to catch a glimpse of the trailer bracket mounting on the 2020+ boats and believe I see where the everything is supposed to line up..

I found this video most helpful..

I am going to place mine in the same spots this weekend and see how it goes but I know mine are too far apart currently as the boat sits too deep into the trailer and hits the plastic wheel wells.

My personal observations are that the ridges in my hull seem to closely align with the bunks in the back and the ridges seem to settle between the bunks slightly off kilter. My thoughts are that spreading the rear bunks one notch might relieve the conflict. My concern is that the boat might sit lower in the bunks and dont know how much lower might be too low for one reason or another.

The side bunk type guides in the video are something I havent previously considered. Do other 195 trailers have those side guides? Mine does not. Does anyone think they would be effective in keeping proper boat to trailer alignment? Are they intended to make contact with the boat while trailered?

Here are some photos of my bunk set up and the alignment trouble that I am trying to resolve.

I am thinking about moving the bunks to a wider split so the hull ridges fit more naturally between the bunks and not so close to directly on top of the bunks where they are prone to slip off to the side. I think I could make a relatively minor adjustment to the 4 bunk brackets that would help.

Looking at the photos, I think I can move the bunks without substantially changing the boat to trailer relationship as the trailer frame is about the same profile as the boat hull.

I am still interested to hear about the effectiveness of the side guides from the video above if anyone wants to offer.

Thanks.

I can't speak for the 195 series, but this has been a much-discussed issue with the newer 22' boats. My boat did not center on the trailer very well. Always seemed to be leaning slightly to one side no matter how I tried to load it straight as possible. I also had carpet damage from the chine riding along the edge of the bunk. I moved the rear bunks out. See the pictures below showing the original position and the last picture is where they are now. The boat now self-centers on the trailer as it settles in going down the road even it was a bit crooked when I loaded. My advice is to take a measurement of where you'd like the bunk to be outside the chine and move the bunks out to there. You can always make more adjustments if it's not just right the first time. My concern with your setup would be getting them too wide and having the boat hit the trailer fenders as mentioned above.
