Well, Cats do burn unburned fuel - hydrocarbons, by oxidizing those along with CO to produce CO2 and water. That comes in handy in YJBs running "rich" from factory, I would think. Cats also reduce reactive nitrogen oxides, those are super toxic.Catalytic converters aren’t to burn unused fuel but rather use unburned fuel and raw exhaust gases CO and turns the gases into CO2 and water for cleaner emissions.
That is an interesting idea. I’m considering some version of FAE or fresh air exhaust(?) piping for our surfing needs.If anyone's interested in trying to add a catalytic. These are probably a good option.
