Guest, we are pleased to announce that Hydrophase Ridesteady is offering an extra $100 off for JETBOATERS.NET members on any Ridesteady for Yamaha Speed Control system purchased through March 7th, 2025. Ridesteady is a speed control system (“cruise control”) that uses GPS satellites or engine RPM to keep your boat at the set speed you choose. On twin engine boats, it will also automatically synchronize your engines.
Curious on the group I have my 2024 Sx 190 setup with AK-19 system. I had the dealer install them and they set them to 5 and 6 vs 4 and 5. I havent noticed an issue with reverse so curious what settings everyone else is using as well.
NOTE 4 AND 5 are the recommended setting for the best handling at all speeds for your model.
If you want the fins to go up at speed use the number 6 and number 7 positions This is the LEAST effective setting!
I always recommend using the down at speed settings like 4 and 5 for the 2019 and newer style nozzles and remember to place the nylock nuts on the outside of the fins if you have the deluxe version with the large plaining surface.
I have the ultimate AK19. Haven’t put it on yet but will be soon.
