Has anyone tried to change out the fitting for the cockpit drainage? It's a pita with the fitting sitting higher than the drainage channels not allowing all the water to drain out. I took a shot of the backside to see how it was put together.

I need to take some measurements and see if I can find one with a flat bottom.

X3. I briefly considered drilling a small secondary drain hole in the corner of that pocket & tapping it into the corrugated drain line but decided against it figuring someone would eventually come up with a more elegant solution
 
On my '17 212X, the hose sags downward inside the engine compartment and then travels upward when going through the firewall at the rear of the engine compartment. This allows water to collect and stay in the hose, instead of have a normal drain. The dumb hose does the same thing inside the aft compartment where the mufflers are before it connects to the aft through-hull to drain the water. Not a well-executed design!

Why not shorten the hose to it doesn’t sag? Someone was a sleep at the wheel at the factory and was too lazy to measure the correct length and instead, just eyeballed it.
