Bought new Crestliner xf189 and rigged w/115 Merc jet. When on plane, if motor is not trimmed to exact sweet spot, water is being thrown over the transom. Boat does not have a tunnel hull. Boat is pretty rear heavy due to 3 trolling motor batteries placed in rear and crank battery placed in rear storage compartment. Is it possible the jet is mounted too low in the water? Any thoughts?

you need a spray plate the jet foot dont tuck in far enough with a outboard and the front of the foot should be even with the bottom of the hull look on the site [outboard jet] everything you need to know will be there.
