My wife and I plan on taking our boat to Dale Hollow in June. We will be driving down from Taswell, IN and we are trying to find someplace to stay. I have researched places but feel overwhelmed. Motel/hotel is fine. We want to keep the boat on the trailer with us.

Any information would greatly be appreciated. Like to know which boat ramp to put in, etc...

Any advice would greatly be appreciated

Thanks

A good friend of mine's dad has a house boat on Dale Hollow and they're there frequently. We went down this past summer for labor day weekend with them and stayed on land nearby (basically overflow sleeping for us and spent the days on the house boat).

Places he recommended:
Star Point Resort (they didn't have availability).
Willow grove resort and Marine (didn't have availability).
Dale Hollow Lake State resort (near the state park marina/ramp, also nothing was available labor day weekend).

None of them are fancy, just clean enough and easy access to a ramp or marina.

We stayed at a VRBO in Byrdstown near the Star Point Marina. I can't find the listing right now, but it's across the street from the Vann's Branch Church. If you have a 24ft boat on trailer, I wouldn't recommend it due to the driveway. Fortunately our boat was in our friend's slip, so we were able to disconnect the empty trailer and turn it around to leave.

Thank You. My wife has been looking at VRBO too. She seems to think that may be our best bet. I really like Sunset Marina. Seems to have some nice cottages there. I will keep researching. I looked at availability of Dale Hollow Lake State Resort and they are booked.

Thanks again for the help & advice.
