Hi all. So all season… Since late May… My depth finder has not worked. I haven’t really cared too much about it because I know my way around the waters that I stay in and I know where I should and shouldn’t go, but I would like to have it working. It worked last year, but this year it’s not. I have a feeling that it has something to do with The new trailer I used at the end of last season. I went from a bunk trailer to a roller trailer. However, I didn’t properly adjust the bow roller support, and the boat rolled further onto the trailer than it should have and I think one of the rollers may have interfered with the depth finder. I think…that’s my theory. So, on the port side my transom, Under the swim platform, I have two “probes”. (I apologize for not knowing what exactly they are, but I know that one of them is a depth finder. The other may be an aftermarket lowerance fishfinder/gps that is wired but I do not use. Not sure.… This is only my second summer with this boat… And with a boat at all, so I’m still learning this stuff as I go) anyhow, one of these “probes“, is mounted to a stainless steel bracket with a hinge on it and you can fold it up or down. I think this is the depth finder but not positive. Any thoughts? I want to know what position it should be in And if having it not in the right position will make the depth finder not work at all. Thoughts? All of the other pieces of data on my speedometer are working. But when I toggle through to the depth, it just says
“___ft depth”.
“___ft depth”.
