I don’t want to beat a dead horse here as I have seen a few posts in regards to this but never my specific boat. Anyone have a 2019 AR want to chime in? Took a big hit from a wave today out on the lake it went over the bow and ski locker was soaked pulled the plug and it didn’t seem to drain very fast if at all. Where does this particular plug lead to? It’s not the engine compartment plug because I pulled that one. Does it drain to the stern through the hull? Seems to be clogged any ideas?

Don't have your model but all Yamaha ski lockers drain to the bilge ONLY of the compartment drain plugs are left out. By draining to the bilge the bilge pump will pump the water out. Most of the deck water will drain via the scupper valve. The inlet to the scupper system can be seen at the floor level at the base of the rear seats. The actual scupper valve can be viewed from the stern of the boat just above the water line. There is much debate about leaving compartment drain plugs in or out while in the water. Personally I leave mine out specifically for your situation. It allows all water to flow back to the bilge pump.

Not sure if might apply to this or not but my stern drain plug I am still getting lots of factory construction debris (like fiberglass) stopping it up I have to clean out each time. Have not checked other drain lines but they could have some of this debris and yours could be stopped up?

Check the water in your ski locker isn't from your anchor locker, water in the cockpit would normally drain through the scupper.

I get a considerable amount of water in my ski locker from the anchor drain. I'm seriously considering plugging the factory drain in the ski locker and putting a thru-hull in there for the drain.

I'm a bit OCD about keeping the water on the OUTSIDE of my boat to begin with, so draining from one compartment to another isn't the ideal solution for me.

I too and pulling an unusual amount of fiberglass debris from the right stern drain plug. The left one is fine. Weird!!

Aloha @Bdog, I’ve been having this same issue so much so that when under way especially in chop I can hear all the water in the hull sloshing around?. I normally leave all the drain plugs open so all the water can drain back. On my last outing I opened the ski locker to grab some gear, and it was 3” deep of water in it. I could see at the ski locker drain plug that the water was coming in not draining out?. We were anchored about 2miles off shore in 5-7knot winds, and a .5knot current. I wasn’t really to concerned cause I know she normally has a lot of water in the hull, and the bow was being pulled down from anchoring in the wind and current. So all that water was in front of the bilge. That being said, next mod I will be adding a secondary bilge with a float switch in the stern/transom compartment just in front the rear drain plug like how a lot of the guys on here have done. I’ve said it before on other threads that this is where I feel the bilge should’ve been anyways. The OEM primary bilge is in the middle of the engine compartment, so Water fills the hull all the way to that point before it even starts to pump it out. I don’t know how much water that is exactly but it’s A LOT. Then when underway and on plane and all the different compartments acting as baffles in the hull, IMO water has a harder time reaching that bilge area. So yeah secondary bilge in the stern/transom compartment is definitely a must.??

I did take on some water through the anchor locker however on the 19 model the anchor locker has no drain plug it passes through to the ski locker they are connected with no plugs.
