Engine light on my 195 HOI popped on yesterday. Engine ran fine to the dock and have not run it since. Anyone have his happen and if so what was the outcome? Here goes another trip to the dealer.

Don't rush it over to the dealer. Sometimes an engine light shows up on my dash with no fault codes. Usually only lasts a couple hours or so. I don't bring it to the dealer for that. Eventually it will come off (if there is no issue)

Thanks Matty.....no message pops up on the display so I didn't get too worried. I still cannot get the dealer to clear the maintenance light. It came on when it hit the hours for maintenance and apparently they don't have the capability. What's worse is they are no longer a dealer but handle warranty issues.

I run 92/93 octane in my 165HOI 250Hp since it was new. Last season I was running low on a trip back on the lake to my marina, I didn't want to run a chance of running out of gas so I pulled into a marina that only had 87octane, I put 5 gallons in to get me back to my marina, I started the engine and 15 second later my engine light came on. It stayed on all the way back to my marina. I pulled up to the gas dock and filled it up with 18 gallons of 92 octane. I started it up and after 5 minutes of cruising the light turned off.
Have you changed your gas habits lately?
If so, that could be your issue.

Thanks for the response. I did fuel up last weekend with about 5 gallons of 87 if I recall. This weekend I topped off with 93 so there could be something to that. I will keep my eye on it.
