Sucked up too much dead sea grass while in Florida and got an alarm for "Port Engine overheated". I killed it and used my starboard to get me out of the marina.

Already at ~50 hours so I'm going to change the oil. Thinking about replacing the plugs as well...any other recommendations since she overheated?

I don't think that you would have any issues. Where I launch from I get TONS of sea grass and have had several alarms. I just shut her down and clean out the port, run one engine to let the other cool down and then off I go.

Those alarms are set to warn you inadvance of failure not to tell you it's too late. I would not worry.

Awesome thank you! I figured I'd still change the oil since it's at 50 hrs. Just didn't know if there was any other actions.

Plugs, I didn't change mind at 10 as listed in manual but 50hrs defiantly.
Plus, not as much grease as the 10hr service in the Int bearing, grease all linkages then just checking everything which is what I'd imagine Yamaha recommend their dealers do, hence why they think they can charge so much because of the time it takes.
