Quick question. One of the engine shut-off pins under the clean-out port door is not being pushed down enough for my right engine to start. It does not happen every time and I usually can stand on the door to make sure that it is pushed down all the time. I guess the door is not completely pushing that pin all they way down so that the engine will start. I put three layers of duct tape on the underside of the door to hopefully insure that the pin is pushed down enough. Has this happened to anyone else? Is there a better fix than the duct tape?

Happened to my 07 SX230, the fault was the hinge screws in the deck were getting loose causing the deck to bounce. I filled the holes with marine filler, drilled new holes, and remounted the hinges, afterwards no issues for 2 years before I sold the boat.

I didn't think about checking the hinge. I'll check that tonight. Thanks!
