Every time i step on my swim platform hatch my starboard stalls out ...

Im guessing and hoping this is a bad safety pressure switch .. i was thinking of 4200 it closed down but my luck one of my kids will start and engine while im cleaning out my port one day and lose a paw .. any ideas for a fix ? thanks

Sounds like it’s the safety switch like you said. If there isn’t any adjustment in the mount you can glue a nickel (or any kind of shim) on the bottom of the hatch where it hits the switch.

I know by pass is an option but not a good idea

*btw the preferred hack to bypass safety switches is to cut the wires and twist them together. Tape/wire nuts optional.

Looks like part 22 in this diagram.

But it sounds like yours just isn’t making good contact with the hatch.

You can access the switches and adjust height by removing the removable hatch cover under the seat. If you need more room you can unscrew the screws to the complete hatch bottom.

Wow its listed over $150 .. and who even knows if its easy to get ahold of ... id rather spend $150 on gas while its still under 4$ lol

I’m with sunbyrned on this. The switches are adjustable. Sounds like that’s all you need to do raise it up a little to make solid contact.
