Looking to get the 2024 AR195s. Would it be worth getting the extra year warranty to have it covered for 3 years? Costs 3% of the total price.

I also purchased the extended warranty....It was with for me considering it was the first year for the 1.9L engines. Not sure if the if the 195S comes with the 1.9L or 1.8L though. either way relativley cheap insurance in my mind.

I believe we had one year comes standard with the boat and purchased an additional 4 years for a total of 5.

We took delivery on our boat the week that the world shut down for Covid. Yamaha didn't realize at the time how in demand their product would be, and gave us a free YES warranty. 250+ hours on our boat, with the YES warranty now expired, and I have yet to file a warranty claim or even visit the dealership after our 10 hour service. I also take a lot of pride in keeping our boat clean, oiled, and serviced...

That said, newer boats with more tech (I have mechanical linkages for buckets and steering and the older Connext screen and software) seem to be more prone to issues. Not as bad as "built during covid" boats, but still - the extra peace of mind may be worth it for you.
