Has anybody tried filling their shower tank from the lake?

Was thinking of using a pump or siphoner.

Thanks in advance.

I have not but there was a thread from someone who was looking to fill his ballast bags with the water coming from the pissers. Maybe you could rig a tube to those?

I was thinking more of just putting a hose with a pump off the back of the boat as that is where the connection is but I am not sure how much pressure is needed.

I installed a raw water wash down pump that uptakes lake water for washing the dogs and such. Pump creates about 60psi it performs just like a garden hose

Nice! Can you give some details?

You bet. I used this pump Jabsco 32605 Series Marine ParMax 4. GPM Washdown Pump Kit Amazon.com : Jabsco 32605-0092 Marine ParMax 4.0 GPM Washdown Pump Kit, 60 PSI, 12 Volt : Boating Water Pressure Pumps : Sports & Outdoors. I placed the intake in the same location Yamaha chooses for the ballast intakes above the rudder/ articulating keel with a stainless through hull. It runs through the transom and into the engine bay where the pump is mounted on the wall. I have a switch wired through a relay for turning it on and off. You can leave it on once it pressurizes the system it shuts off. I ran the discharge end to a raw water quick disconnect I placed where the rear anchor light would be. In my hull there’s a weird little flat spot where the mold for the version of our 212 that doesn’t have a wake tower would insert the anchor light. That’s where I connext my hose to when I want to use it. I’ll take pictures tomorrow and post them up for you.

@Augieol65 ....60psi? Do your dogs have any hair left on them? :)

Hahah nope makes cleaning the boat easier with it blasted off.... nah it’s probably not that high that’s what the pump is advertised at. I’d say it performs about the same as your garden hose
