OK, I will start.

Took off the trailer at the boat launch so my wife could go through the drive thru to get some breakfast.
She came back, I hooked the trailer back up (checked everything!) and took the moored boat out for an overnight.

Next day, got in the truck looked over the trailer (checked everything!) and drove out of the lot.

I noticed something like my trailer brakes were sticking so I gave the trailer the old heave ho and nothing gave way so I got out and checked the trailer and guess what, my trailer jack was down.

As I was cranking it up. I heard a loud voice yell, Hey your jack is down, you idiot!

Nice-I thought and I pretended not to hear!

I chalked this up as a Covid related distraction (or stupidity-you pick) nevertheless something I will always have on my mental checklist up there with the bilge plug!

The end.

I understand. There are always distractions. Hopefully there was no damage. Thanks for the reminder!

I installed my new trailer jack yesterday. (Man that XO750 is the bomb!!)

Loosened the bow stop bolts a bit in order to get my wrench up there to take the old jack off.

Went boating later in the day. At the end of the day, time to load the trailer and the damn bow stop was being pulled to the boat instead of the other way around. Had to unload, take boat and trailer separately to father in laws house (happens to live on our lake) to borrow a wrench to readjust and tighten the bolts that I forgot to tighten earlier.

While in the driveway, wife looks over and says “hey, is that bunk broke?”

“Why yes, yes it is.... crap”. Found a scrap 2x4 and screwed on a patch until I can get a new board and carpet Tuesday.

Then, got the boat loaded finally. A good day.

Btw, @gthh if you need a new jack, I’d send you my old one for shipping cost. ?

Been there, done that. Twice!

Do you have any damage to the jack or pin?

We have not even been out yet:(

Thanks all for the sympthy and offer @BigAbe75 but all is well with the jack-too bad, I would have loved an excuse to pick up an XO750 jack 13 years and it's like new-ugh.
