I love this boat. She is a 2011 242 Limit S. Love the ability to back up to a sandbar in very shallow water. My wife told me the boat was talking to her when we got it. Since then we been wanting to show off our country flags. BE LOUD and PROUD!!!. I have searched for a while for a combo Flag and Rod Holder. I could not believe how much just one (1) holder was let alone two. The only option I did was to build them. Here are my results... I actually did this project for around $120. The great part is no drilling into my tower. I had an older setup that allow items to be attached but that was old. The locking system I used was the V-Lock.

Hey, thanks for sharing this! I have 2010 version of the same boat and have been thinking about flag holders for mine as well. How long are the flag poles, size of the flags, and how fast have you taken them to - boat speed? I don't see myself getting crazy with this myself just curious. Thanks again!

I mainly use them at slow speed - under 25. The poles are heavy duty Stainless Steel. The flags are also heavy duty and sewn stars. I know I did overkill on the construction but I wanted to make sure nothing broke apart. The cool thing about the V-Lock is I can remove it. The design is similar to the Yamaha table post.

Nice! I haven’t seen a design that will fit the tower brace like that. Nice idea! Will probably generate other ideas.

I've been looking at this company for about a year now. Just been focused on the more important items on the boat first so I can stay on the water. I assume you have one and like it?
Yes, I have two of them. They look and work great. I have a small flag and a very large flag. I can’t go fast with the large but no issues with the small one.

Is large like 3` x 5` ? Was looking at their site.

Yes, 3x5. Great quality flag though. We just have to secure it when we’re anchored down.

Bought their mirror. ordering flag, holder and pole today. Have had the boat less than tree weeks. Hope to break it in on Friday if the weather cooperates.

What size flag did you go with?
