I find these ring/collars sometimes difficult to push back, to un-clip, when setting up ballast bags (the pink/red(?) collar can be very difficult to slide/unlock with a bare hands), especially when wet.
Is there a tool that would help without messing soft collar plastic up?

I can probably find a socket big enough to push that collar back but wonder if there is an actual tool, or if I'm overlooking some simple trick?

I do have those lubricated with the pool connector lubricant, but that seems to make the connection even tighter and more difficult to disassemble.
