I just read the comment below one of the forum. I thought we were suppose to flush the engine after we were done in the sea or lake? That's what the dealer told me.

"one thing I have verified a few times is that some dealers or dealer staff are not aware the boat cannot be run out of the water like an outboard or other engines can. I had an engine problem with my previous Scarab which turned out to be a faulty breaker (warranty work), long story short, when I asked the service tech at the dealer whether they had tested the boat, they assured me they ran it for "long long time" with the hose and the engine did not shut down (I felt my blood pressure drop like a rock), the story was repeated when I took ownership of the new boat and while going through the orientation we sat forever flushing the engines until I finally told him to stop and they asked why...

Flushing the engine is fine. . . . But you want to start the engine first then turn on the water.

@David23170 what the comment is really addressing is running the Scarab Boat out of the water without cooling the "carbon seal." You don't want to run the boat for more than 90 seconds while flushing. There is no issue flushing after every use and if you are running in salt water you should use Salt Away...

Good point, wasn't thinking of this from a Sacrab Carbon Seal issue pperspective. . . .
