I'm about to leave my boat in storage for a 7 month deployment and am going to "winterize" it even though I am in Hawaii. I went to a couple of auto parts stores and asked for fogging oil and got the "Whats that?" response. Any recommendations for a substitute? Or is in not necessary. Cars stay idle here for the same amount of time and don't seem to seize up.

It is to prevent rust from firming internally...and in that climate, I would fog 4 or 5 times a year even when using it. Go to a marine supply for fogging oil if you don't have a Yamaha dealer close. Don't fog until you kill it, search fogging procedures and use the current Yamaha tech bulletin procedures. I am out of pocket or I would upload it again. It is in other fogging threads here.

Thanks Mel. Time for a road trip across the island to West Marine... It's hard to go to the Leeward side, to much traffic.
Here's a pic from last weekend.
