Fuel issue starboard engine

Ran boat yesterday no problem . Filled up boat yesterday for today's outing and the starboard motor would not start. Checked for spark yes. So it must be fuel I tried to pour a bit of gas into each throttle and it started right up and ran. I expected it to quit once gas was done but no. It keeps on running and starting. What could possibly have happened....id hate for this to happen when I'm way out in the lake.

Would the engine turn over at all when you were having issues? If it didn’t turn over at all, most likely your clean out hatch safety switch needs adjusted. If it would turn over but not start I’ve always just replaced the spark plugs and my starting issues remedy themselves immediately. I change the spark plugs every year now though so haven’t had starting issues anymore (knock on wood).

I'm thinking that your refueling could be a consideration. Was it a known gas station with good gas? Any chance you knocked some crud loose?

I would dump some SeaFoam, or Stabil 260, or Yamaha's fuel product, in that tank, and run it.

But only one engine. ? Ya maybe something got into fuel line its been running fine now . I will hope it's ok. Don't know how the fuel I poured in could clear a clogged line

I'd dump in some treatment for sure.
