Fuel tank water

We have water half way up our fuel tank in the fuel tank hold... it will not drain.. where does it drain to?

We pulled these out floating in the water in between the back of the tank and the engine compartment wall.

There should be a plug leading into the engine compartment/bilge. Do you have one? Is it open?
Wouldn't worry about the rubber pads.

It drains to the engine compartment, is that plug removed? if you look on firewall between engine compartment and fuel compartment.

I would say if the plus is removed it is blocked by debris or one of those black pads you are finding. Try taking something, like a screwdriver of engine compartment side and pushing in drain hole towards fuel tank and see if you can dislodge any debris or if water starts to drain, turn bilge on first if in water!!!

I don't think there's that much water in there. It will hardly fill up the bilge if it drains there.

But I would prop the bow up when you get a chance to drain it all.

my guess is those pads may have been glued below fuel tank as cushion....they appear to be what I can see in the background of your photo cushioning top of fuel tank? Same material?

We are driveway boating.... we bought this boat in 2015... and i have never noticed that plug before... and this is the first time i have ever pulled up the fuel hatch. We just pulled that pkug and the boat peed for approximately 5 min strong. Thers is no telling how much wayer was under the boat.

jack up the tongue to drain. ....better yet hook to truck and drag boat for a couple miles...it will drain. I only use one drain plug and that's the main drain plug. I want all that water out....check ski locker plug also....it goes to fuselage then to bilge.

we could hear the weight coming off the trailer as the water ran out..!! hell i might get 2 more miles a gallon when i tow now!!

@swatski maybe you can explain the new boat drain plugs for me because when I read the manual it confused me. When you open the engine hatch there are two plugs one on the wall one on the floor. If I read the manual correctly is the one one the floor a second plug that needs to opened to actually drain out the back of the boat when the rear drain plug is removed?
