I love the zone control of the unit right out the box, and I'm finally finishing other modifications to the boat to finally start doing stereo upgrades. I already installed the Fusion IP600 and 4 Polk db651 in the factory locations. Sounds great but I want to add a set to swim deck and cabin area as many have done. I was going to only amplify my cabin speakers using the Clarion CX1410 and rewire the rear cabin speakers to the swim deck off the HU. So the question is if I install say a JL M600/6 one for each speaker I have no intention of adding a sub but maybe moving to the higher end Polk of JL. Can I use my zone feature still somehow or would I need to add something else to isolate all zones off the amp? I want bow, cabin and swim deck zones. Thanks for any advice, I don't know to much about ohms and that side of the stereo world, but I can wire and install anything with a diagram or explanation.

@2nazt I thought about doing something like that as well but for now I have the transoms hooked directly to the Fusion. But i believe you can use a converters to do what you want like here...

Many out there so I did not get far enough to research them.

So the Fusion has 3 zones,. 2 from the sets of speaker outputs and 1 from the existing line out. You should be able to use 2 of these and connect to the Fusion speaker outputs. Then connect the RCA cables to the amp channels you want.

Not sure if there is any interference that comes with using these either.

I recently added some swim deck speakers and ended up hooking them up to zone 3 powered by the Clarion amp. Since the Clarion amp was so cheap I decided to buy 2 of them and run my 4 cockpit speakers off of the other one. This enables me have control of all of my 3 zones plus having them run off an amp.

In Cabin speakers are wired to the amp and then from there the front speakers are wired to Zone 1 and rear to Zone 2. Zone 3 has RCA out. I wired the swim platform speakers to the amp and use the RCA hookup to the HU. Zone 3 requires RCA hookups unless you get a converter. The Clarion amp allows you to use individual wires or RCAs so it works perfect for my set up. The 2 swim platform speakers really project from under cushions, so when we are out back we like to shut off zones 1 and 2. I run JL M650s inside the boat and JL MX650s for the platform. Hopefully this makes since to you.

Okay. I have my bow wired to zone 1 and cabins to zone 2. I didn't realize I could run the zone 1 and zone 2 wires off heady it to XC1410 them from amp to speakers. Guess I had a brain fart I just looked at wiring diagram and saw I could do that. So I'll run 2 of these amps and do same set up I'll run RCA zone three to the 4 cabins and then zone1&2 to other amp and wire to cabin and swim deck.

@Monterro how is the sounds from the JL's. Do they sound undeepowered with this like you should of done a larger amp? Do you get bass and sound like you want?

@2nazt The speakers sound great. Worth the upgrade. I originally did like you and upgraded to 4 original speakers to the Polks and that made a difference. The JL's and the amp was even better. I am sure it would be better with the JL amp but it was out of my price range. I am not an audiophile so can't really give you details of the sound. The speakers have never cut off and the amp has never overheated. Does get warm at times though. I actually have 4 JL M650 with the sport grill brand new. I messed around and bought 4 from online and was not going to receive them in time so I bought them locally and installed. I missed the return period so I may be able to save some money for you if you are interested. They were bought from an authorized dealer too.

I would need to buy 4 more compared to just needing 2 more db651 at the moment. Thank you though as I doubt you would have no issue selling them. I would want them all to match also. I'll look to upgrade later though new boat and a lot of money spent so far. I'm no audiophile either just curious if you liked it. Thanks for all the help!
