Hello all, first time posting. I've been following all I can on the 190 FSH and was wondering what the ride difference is between the 2016-18's and the 2019's+. Specifically, rough water ride.

1) Does the change in the dead rise affect rough water ride much? Or does the increase in length compensate?
2) Does the increase in fuel capacity plus the extra weight of the longer and wider hull equate to any loss in performance?

I have the option to go gently used 2016-18 or brand new 2019 and quite frankly the money just isn't that much different. I don't mind a shorter range if I'm not getting beat to death by 2ftr's but conversely I'd pay more for longer range IF the newer flatter dead rise boat handles it fine.

Thanks for any help.

Adam

I have not ridden the newer layouts but there’s not going to be much difference in ride quality between the two versions. Not enough parameters have changed to make any real difference in ride quality.

Dead rise is the only thing that could have an impact, however unless I've missed something I think there both 18 degrees? The biggest difference would be the loss of the jump seats on 2919 and the addition of the tackle storage near the front casting platform. I prefer the older style with the jump seats.

Ok.

There is definitely a difference in the bows though. Fo sho. I too like the flip up seats and the deeper "v" of the Gen1.

Based on the looks it certainly looks like the older has a deeper V. But that may simply de due to the fact they widen the boat? A larger fuel tank would be nice but to be honest for where I live on Lake Michigan I've never been worried about running out of fuel. Even after a full day of dragging my kids around on the tube and wakeboard.

How much fuel are you burning pulling the kids around all day.
Im looking to buy a 210 so I can fish and still pull a tube.

Honestly I don't have an exact number but would guess the most I've burned to be around 20 gallons tubing. My kids are older so the majority of time I'm pulling 2-3 17to20 year olds so more like adults. I'd also say the tubing usually last 2-3 hours. Being we boat Lake Michigan I always top the tank off to be sure we dont cut ourselves short on fuel. This year we bought a wake surfboard so we'll see how that goes.
We almost made the jump to the 21 last fall and just days from pulling the trigger decided to stay with the 19 for now. I'd like to go back to an outboard but the wife does not want to give up the unobstructed swim platform. Which I must admit is very nice.

Thank you so much for the feed back. I’ll be boating in lake Huron mostly, so sounds Promising.
I grew up around outboards and looking forward to Usability of the back transom

They did fix some of the nagging issues, but if the gen 1 owner did all the fixes, I think the gen 1 has some great features that were “value engineered” in the later model. Love the jump seats, vinyl bolsters, etc. The JBP steering mods are awesome.
Difference in low speed maneuvering is what I would be curious about.
