I don't know if it is just a 2014 AR240 issue, but I hate trying to keep the glove box lid open when I want to look in it. Has anyone ever considered adding a small gas strut to assist?

I completely agree with this.

Would like to see what solutions others have come up with.

I've nodded my hatch with a small bend spring that keeps this lid up.
You simply fold the spring in the middle when it's time to close. I'll post a picture later this evening.

The spring is 8.5" from end to end.

As promised....
I use the spring from my anchor locker hatch to hold up the glove box lid. It became a available when I replaced it with a gas strut, now I don’t worry about getting pinched if I brush the spring when accessing the anchor locker or having to hold up the glove box lid.
