Welcome @Freddyc to the site glad that you found us. Make sure to update your location in your user profile. Then check to see if there's a member nearby that might be willing to go with you to look at the new boat.

Here's one topic that has a few good ideas of what to look at, hope it helps you out.

Can you share a listing for the boat?

How much is the seller asking?

What is the condition like?

How many hours are on the engines?

I just buy a similar boat for $15K, spend $200 and ask seller if you can have it checked by local YAMAHA dealer, they can check the Hr. on the engine and condition of impeller etc.. for you...
if you never own a jet boat, make sure you get yourself a pair of Trust Vectors on it, at low speed that is a must have to control the boat, specially during maneuver to trailer the boat, or doing 5MPH zone area.... if the seller already install the sound sponges internal to the engine bay, that would be a plus ... the rest would be cosmetic to worry about... you can also ask a local boat appraisal to look the boat for you.. it cost few hundred but definitively worth it.... best of luck, post picture on how you go about getting on boat...
