How do you replace a weld on Fulton trailer jack on a 2008 MFI trailer?
Can you remove and replace simply from the center swivel bolt?
I ordered a Fulton bolt on jack thinking this would be easy!

@Ronnie would possibly know the answer, he has “dissected” a Fulton and posted good pics, somewhere here.

I’m not sure what “weld needs to be replaced” means here.
There aren’t many welds where the trailer jack is concerned.

1. On the trailer jack f2 or stock Fulton there are no welds that I can think of.
2. On the trailer the stock trailer jack mount is welded to the trailer and has a mounting bolt protruding for its center.
I cut the bolt off and mounted my Fulton f2 trailer jack over the original mounting point with the U bolts that came with the F2.
Fulton offers a mounting plate for those that don’t want to use U bolts. This mounting plate needs to be welded to the trailer.

Thanks for the replies. My current mounting plate is welded onto the trailer. It has a center swivel bolt. Fulton tech support said I could leave the mounting plate on the trailer and try to bolt the new jack on using just the swivel bolt. I'll let you know if this works.

Something like this, I presume? If so, you absolutely can just unscrew that nut, and install a new jack. Just remember it has to be able to still swivel, so don’t crank it down tight. It might have a bushing to prevent that, but not sure.

The weld-on trailer jack turned out to be super easy to replace on my 2008 MFI trailer. No need to cut off the weld plate, simply unscrew the existing bolt.
I replaced the standard jack with a Fulton XLT Weld On Jack in sharkskin with a 1,500lb weight capacity for $130. Took 5 minutes.
