2009 ar230ho mr1, 300 hours. High temp warning on dash and rpm's decrease to 4000 on engine with warning, while on the lake. Checked all areas with IR thermometer , and temps are close to other engine. Pissers are both working , and Thinking it's prob a sensor. Which one causes the engines rpm's to decrease ( limp mode I guess) and can it be tricked , or just um plugged? no time to order. Leaving in am for trip with the boat.

I had a temp warning while on the lake with my AR230, only because I sucked something up into the impellers. Never put me in limp mode though. After I cleared the debris, I turned the battery switch off and then back on. Not sure this will work for you, I’d try running the engines on the hose to flush the system if you haven’t already. Also pull the pump of the affected engine and check the intake screen too.

Does anyone know which temp sensor is the one that triggers limp mode. Logic would tel me the one that's named thermostat switch assembly not thermosensor assembly, but we know what assumptions do. Anyone???
