How do you store a wakeboard in a non-tower boat?

Maybe this is a stupid question and maybe I bought the wrong boat, but when I was shopping I thought the ski locker in the middle of the 23' boat had plenty of room for a wakeboard. Nope. I can't get it in there without destroying it and it's brand new so that isn't happening. I haven't even been able to take it on the boat so I haven't used it yet.

Any opportunity to use it will be when I have a fairly full boat since my wife doesn't drive and has to corral the kids. I am pretty disappointed that it won't fit but a tower just isn't in the cards right now.

Any one else run into this problem?

When I take out the big rafts I just bungee them on the swim platform to the tow hook. Should work for wakeboards too.

I saw somewhere where a guy mounted a wakeboard rack on his rear grab bar. Not sure if it was custom or not but looked like it worked pretty well. Something like this.

Thanks. Searching for this on Google led me to several ideas, including some using the cleats. I have some ideas now.

I keep mine on the rack most of the time but it fits in the ski locker easily
Really? I haven't tried since last year but there was really no way mine was going in the ski locker. I was being extra careful because it's brand new but maybe mine is bigger? (Haha)
