How to remove main fuse inside the fuse panel

On a 2017 Yamaha FSH 1.8 I opened the fuse panel and want to know how to remove the black square fuse labeled MAIN. I tried to remove it using some pliers and accidentally cracked it, so I need to remove it to find a replacement and install it. Thanks.
 
I don't know what style of fuse you have, but I'd bet these Channellock pliers would work:

The part number for the Main relay is 6EX-8195A-00-00 . $15 on partzilla.com in case anyone need this info.
