I ran across this listing that was used as a rental boat with a whopping 962 hours holly cow!

http://www.boattrader.com/listing/2011-yamaha-sx240-ho-102772732/

"2011 Yamaha SX240 High Output former rental unit originally offered at $29999, now $24999!. Professionally maintained and all hourly services performed. 962 total hours, but compression tested and running great. Come take a test drive!"

Let's see, it's taken me nearly 5 years to put 100 hours on my boat, so it will take more than 40 more years to get to 962. Sheesh I just hope I'm still alive when the boat gets to 962 hours!

That's almost twice what a stern drive engine package will deliver, before the engine has to have major overhaul. I wonder if those motors have ever been out of the boat?

Wow.
Some vague assumptions to put this in context:

If that was 962 hours of cruising time (@ 30mph) = 28,860 miles
It it was a car moving at highway speed (@60mph) = 57,720 miles

Given that it was a rental at Osage Beach, MO. That's an impressive amount of back/forth in a closed body of water!
