Greetings. I am looking for a dealer for a new Scarab 255. The Scarab web site does not respond and after looking for the nearest dealer to me (Charlotte, NC), they confirmed they no longer are a dealer and did not know who is. Some of the write-ups out there are discouraging on Scarab in general, but having one in the past, I'd still like to look into a new one. Any suggestions or connections? Thanks.

Ask for Chris Ipock

Now I will say this. My best friend has a 255 Open ID after having a 210 FSH, his 255 has been a shop queen. He wishes and now wants to get another FSH.
But dang those Scarabs are good looking and Fast! And his boat is a great time when its on the water.

Thank you very much for the reply. I'll ping Chris, cheers....

Good luck on the local dealer. Hope you find a good one. And yeah, as @mkbcaptain mentioned, some are definitely unlucky. But I think that doesn't seem to matter when it comes to brand assuming you have a dealer to support you of course. A matter if you're lucky or not I suppose.

For me personally, 180+ hours on my 165 and she's purring like a champ. But I do all my own maintenance since I have no dealer around (and because I'm cheap).

I wish you the best of luck with whatever boat/brand you end up with.
