I keep looking at inflatable ones, Costco had them for $449 the other day, I almost walked out with one.

@Wayloncle, West Marine often has sales of good 10.5" inflatable kits for $450. Rana has one from 2014 that is still working well.
There are some lesser known kits on eBay for less than $250.
