I would love to get down there this season. Already have plans this weekend. Do you guys hit sailorville often? Just an hour or so for us.

You mean the saylorville ocean? Been there few times water is always rough and wind is crazy don't get me started on the dirty water. Rathbun is awesome no matter how hard the wind blows. If you go to honey creek ramp it's well protected by forest from wind.

Only been to saylorville twice. Low water first time and high water second time.
We go to Twin Lakes a lot because it's so close and we know a lot of people. Try to get to Okiboji 3 or 4 times a season. Would like to meet up with some jet boaters. Not many of us in Iowa seems like

Ive seen a whoppin' TWO Yamaha jetboats in Iowa. I always try to chase them down like a fanboy to check em out. you all are too fast. hahaha Saw a 242 Limited s (or so it appeared from distance) on Rathbun May 28th. was our first time out there, and it sucked :( 2 hr drive. howling wind, too early in the season, cold water....

Another Iv'e seen at Coralville a couple times. We go there most often, if the river is high. which it always seems to be any more....

Still uncertain if we'll end up with a jet.... (wife sold on them though so....) curious, how do you guys find it, particularly if youve come from an IO? any of you ever hit the Mississippi at all?
