I'm looking at a floating lift made by Carolina docks and I've got a couple of questions. First, how much wave action can these handle with the boat unattended? I'd like to leave my boat at our place at the lake and I lack the familiarity with these products to know that my boat will be safe if a storm rolls in and whips up waves. How much can they handle? A foot, two, three? I can't really see this question answered anywhere. Also, the lift I'm looking at doesn't have a winch option. Could I just attach one to my wooden dock rather than the floating lift or would this damage the floating lift? TIA.
