So have to say I love having my bigger umbrella on my old 230s and with my 242se I could not use the center table mount post for an umbrella holder and ordered the Jewls holder and got the bigger 1.5" verse the 1" but they did not have the 1.5" in the stainless.....only powder coated ones and did not last 2 trips before rusting out....quality was top shelf but salt and powder coated no bueno. I sent message and without hesitation they are sending me their now new stainless version (supply issue finding 1.5" tubing in stainless. Top shelf customer service and love having the bigger umbrella verse the tiny taylor made one. This is my 9' out and love it....shade in the water.ship3.jpg

Looks great!

Do you have a link? I'm in saltwater and have a 275SD. I would love to find a stainless steel unbrella mount that could be used on the stock table mount on the swim platform or the one in the bow.

I use my table mount for an unbrella support. I bought a section of 2 Inch OD, 1.5 inch ID plastic tubing (Everbilt 2 in. O.D. x 1-1/2 in. I.D. x 24 in. Clear PVC Braided Vinyl Tube HKP002-PVC009 - The Home Depot) that slides perfectly into the table mount...then the umbrella slides right into sleeve. Cost me about $10 and workes perfectly.
Yes, but the angle is not straight up and down and the added torque may fatigue the fiberglass with constant pulling to one side.....plus it doesn't look right.

Awesome......and I wanted to also re-iterate that on the 242s with the table mount and the angle that juts way out, I would not recommend using an umbrella for anything bigger that 4' as there is so much more torque with large unbrella flopping around with the arm sitting way out......much more stress than the mount being flush on fiberglass....

Just ordered the stainless steel version. I was out at Egmont Key over the weekend and saw another jetboater that was using an umbrella in the back of the boat. So this post and seeing it in person convinced me.

Wish I had a picture, but actually, it is straight up and down, just as it has to be for the table to mount level. It looks just like pic in Jongottschalk's post except the distance from the mounting point is less on his. As for stress, no matter where you mount it there is going to be some degree of stress. And since that is Yamaha mounting point, that point is reinforced, and unless you have an extremely heavy umbrella, or there is alot of wind, I dont thing that is an issue. Remember, people actually mount grills on this mounting point. Just my opinion.
So the post "hole" may but straight up and down after looking at it, but my concern is the length of the table post....its a simple leverage calculation, with "radius" being the distance from where the umbrella fits in the holder, whether the table holder or the jewls umbrella holder. The distance without measuring is probably 2' away where the jewls is about 2" away from the pivot point (fiberglass). With wind forces on a larger umbrella or when the boat is anchored and wavers or rollers hit the boat perpendicular to the boat, the boat (and umbrella) can rock pretty violently back and forth and put some strain on things......the longer the radius in the formula, the more strain you are putting on the fiberglass and I just don't trust it without out the jewls, and I am a hold my beer, shade tree, don't fix it if it aint broke kind of guy. torque.pngtorgue2.jpgScreenshot (400).png

I've been using the 1.5" powder coated one all summer in Salt water with no issues. Do you know what type of stainless it is?
I didn't see if it is 316 Stainless.

Dont know what type of stainless.....and I was hoping to get the powder coated one to last at least the season as it was disclosed it would not fare well but the inside was not powder coated as far as I can tell....the picture in the post above was the first time I actually used my umbrella and was barely able to get umbrella in there. I would spray yours with silicone etc to get the most out of it but anyone ordered from here forward should spend the extra for the stainless in anything but fresh IMO.
