If I take it off the lake, I have to go through quarantine to put it back on. They take the mussels issue very seriously. So doubt I'll be taking it off the lake often, we'll have to hitch a ride with someone else.
Your just down the road from us Cory. I didn't know they would allow boats at speed on Lake Kiowa. We have been around it many times but never on it. It never seems busy, but it is pretty small too. We looked at lots and homes there 15 year ago when we were looking at this area. We are only about 8 miles away as the crow flies, but about double that by road. Your right about restrictions, they are over the top on them at Kiowa.
I had my boat up to dang near 50 last weekend, so speed is not an issue. Lake is plenty big for what I want to do, and can easily accommodate dragging the kids around on a tube as well. There were only two other boats out when we were running, and the lake was like glass.
