Looking at relocating to the Charlotte area later in the year. Currently keeping my sx230 at a marina on Lake Hickory for about 1600 a year, not too bad. I'm trying to decide if I want to store it at a marina again for convenience, or if I buy a house I can store it at. Doing so likely means an upgrade in tow vehicle, as while my Colorado can pull it, it's not fun as it's much smaller than the boat.

We will likely be in denver/Westport area, possibly Huntersville, so thinking places on the west side of the lake. Who are you guys using, and how much are they?

I’m at the boat rack on spinnaker bay dr. I pay $2800 for a 25 foot slip and it’s $3500 for a 35 foot slip. The slips are all full right now but you can get on a waiting list. You can dry stack too it’s a lot cheaper I forget the price on that but if you have a tower it has to fold down under the windshield. South you have Westport Marina Idk the price. on Rt 150 in Sherrills Ford is the Lake Norman Marina which isn’t bad to drive to from Denver especially from the north part of Denver. At the end of Burton Ln is Little Creek Access Area which has a nice public ramp.

No tower, so that's good. I was debating between storing or getting a new truck and keeping at the house, but looking at my trailer that might end up being just as expensive... Looks like a good binlt of rust, and someone replaced the axle that's supposed to have surge brakes with an axle with no brakes. The trailer works, and is salvageable, but would definitely need work to be an every weekend kinda use item.

I wouldn't keep my boat in a wet slip, I feel like I would be the guy who has some catastrophe occur and his boat sinks.

Funny you say that about the wet slip. I went out yesterday and forgot to throw a line on the boat in the slip. I got a call today from the marina that my hydrohoist lift was all the way down and my boat blew into the rocks. A Marina guy saw it and ran down and pushed it off and the wind blew it into the gas dock where he was able to tie it up. Thankfully no damage.

We trailer our boat to LKN and use stumpy creek in Mooresville.
In Cornelius is Kings Point Marina. Nice place. Don't know prices

I think you'll be $2500-2800. If you can find a spot, marinas are pretty full now

Did you ever find anything, I’ve been looking with no luck

I ended up moving to FL and not Charlotte, lol.

Still have my boat in Hickory, and I can say the marina said that their prices were going up by a good bit and all the local marinas were too. Seems to be pretty tight on storage spaces and a lot of boaters who want that space.

I wish I can move to Florida , lol. I hope you’re doing well, thanks
