leak at the exhaust coupling

I have a small leak (varies with RPM) at the exhaust coupling that I can't seem to fix.

I have tightened the clamp as tight as it would go but still...

any tips and/or tricks?

Leak is from the top end or bottom end in the picture? From corrosion I would have guessed bottom, but the top pipe clamp is tighter...

You're correct the "bottom" but the clamps are not the same size. It's larger diameter at the muffler vs the exhaust manifold.

Ok, good. Because for that one I have a suggestion: remove the rubber hose, clean up the metal with some light steel wool action. Looks like corrosion there. I would put some silicone gell there before reinstalling (like the stuff from the pool store you put on gaskets). Will help the rubber stay nice and also seal any micro gaps while providing some corrosion insulation...

Nice okay. It might have to be an off season project as I would have to remove the muffler to be able to remove the coupling

so I couldn't wait LoL
I took the muffler apart and omg salt build up was crazy. I used a dremel wire brush tool to clean the exhaust outlet & muffler coupling.
I soooo hope that this fixes my leak.

At the risk of jumping to an irresponsible conclusion, I think you located your issue...
