Totally off topic but I know this site is about sharing good finds. Unfortunately, I wasnt born in the 60's and got to see the prime of rock in the 70's but my 2 favorite bands are Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd. Hard to find that type of music nowadays, until I came across this band. Greta Van Fleet. Holy **** rock is back! So refreshing!

I hate when someone says, "you have to check out this band, you'll love them!" Hmmm I prolly won't. But if you like Led, then I can't imagine you not liking these guys.

Check them out, they're on Spotify, Apple, etc.

Oh and before I get accused, I have absolutely zero to do with this band.

Led Zeppelin is my all time favorite. I was born in '69 but grew up listening to them. I will check these guys out, thanks for the steer!

Thanks for sharing. Never heard of these guys but after watching a couple of their videos I'm hooked. The singer has an amazing voice, very Robert Plant like which is one of my all time favorite singers.
Greta Van Fleet kind of remind me of early Kings of Leon, very powerful and edgy.

For cover bands you need to check out Get the Led Out.
My boat name:

Here is a band that I have recent found and gotten into, Blackberry Smoke.

Dread Zeppelin

youtube at your own risk (Elvis impersonators doing a reggae version of lead zeppelin. Sorry, I've never been a zeppelin fan....I kinda enjoy the destruction to the music...I apologize in advance

I've seen the cover band Zoso about a dozen times and they are fantastic.

@Trevor Shipman Here is an amazing cover Greta Van Fleet does of an Adele song.

They are super solid! It still trips me out that voice comes out of him. Thanks for sharing. Thought their 2nd album was super solid too!

Another band, although much different, a buddy just turned me on to is The Revivalist. They’re definitively worth checking out.

@Trevor Shipman , great post and thank you for sharing some rock. My kids are so into this generation of music and I have been lost in terms of good music. My son plays guitar and electric piano so I will show him this “talent”

I've heard blackberry smoke mentioned a few times since moving to NC so after reading this thread I downloaded their live album made in NC. I grew up in Ma. But always liked southern rock best and the albums a really good cross between country and southern rock. I also grew up with Led Zeppelin so I checked out the Greta van fleet album and downloaded it. Definitely a Zep sound. Especially the vocals and drums. There is a couple songs on there you would actually think is Led Zeppelin. I'm a music guy (I play guitar as a hobby) so thanks for the thread and a couple new bands to listen to on the boat.

Finally checked these guys out. That kid sounds almost like Robert Plant. Thanks for shining some light on them!

Pretty crazy huh? It’s even weirder when you see what he looks like. Hard to believe that voice comes out of him.
