Found some bolt nuts and washer in the port side rear compartment where the battery switch is located. also behind the stereo compartment I found some wires just dangling

@Master not sure what the washer/bolts are, but the blue wires are your amp remote, and electric antenna 12v out from your radio. The orange is a 12V constant for one of the amps. If I remember right, the orange is used as an antenna.

I hate the stereo install on our boats. It was an afterthought to them, and an expensive option to us.

@Master No they arent used in the Scarab's system because the amps auto turn on with the high pass input from the radio's speaker connections. I changed that antenna wire with an FM antenna from Shakespeare. Works so much better.

The nuts and washers may be for the cables for the tower catch system. I've found some too. The cables keep the tower off the windshield when it's laid forward.

Did you ever figure out where these washers go? I've found the same ones in my engine bay!

What do you mean by transom remote? I want to check mine now...

Ahhh... the actually remote :( Duh. Thanks for clarifying!

So I figured out where the two washer came from in my engine bay.... Apparently they are the stops on the port side tower to hold it in place when lowered. Anyone have an idea how the heck to gain access to the cable to reattach them?

Pull your rear side seat tops off and you can fish your arm up thru to the studs on the cables for the tower. Kind of a pain in the @$$ to pull off.

Did that last night and was easy to get the nut / washers back on once the panel was removed. Used a thread locker so they don't come loose again.

This is getting scary... :nailbiting:

Found these yesterday in the port side rear compartment, my first guess would be tower bolts.

Looks like my boat was done on a Friday afternoon just before a long weekend and they were in a hurry to put the completed sticker on it... :shifty:
