Has anyone tried to mount a wireless phone charger in the phone mount on your boat? I was thinking about mounting one to charge my phone while it’s in the mount since my Cpts helm USB is only for audio and doesn’t charge the phone. I’m scared double sided tape will get hot and fall off and I don’t want to superglue it bc eventually it’s going to stop working and need replaced. Looking for ideas.

Could build a mount and secure it using the connext bolts.

I thought about that but wasn’t real sure how that would look. I’m more of a rough in guy not a finisher. ?

Actually sitting here thinking about it, I guess the easiest way would be to just replace the USB with one that charges. I don’t use it anyways for music bc I Bluetooth it.

The passenger usb quit working and yamaha replaced it under warranty but while waiting on them to mail it to me I just bought one off Amazon and replaced it myself so I still have the one yamaha sent me. I’ll have to get under there and see what wires it has. I might have to fish a set of wires from the battery up to the helm.

You can piggy back off a 12v wire under the dash - just fuse it.
