Maiden Voyage AR250

Breaking her in nice and easy... launched beautifully. Had fun just cruising around keeping it under 5k rpm and just following the break in process. Floated for a bit.... have to keep both battery switches ON for the connext system to stay on for music. I was told turn start off to float but it killed the system.

Jetdock works awesome! Totally out of the water... need to practice getting up - first time I wimp it up ... need more throttle!

Running Spotify via Bluetooth the stock system was not bad at all. Some on here just be major audiophiles because the sound system was plenty loud! Tower speakers I can see adding on next season but not really necessary...

@LakesideLaw not sure about the AR but on my e-series you also have to keep both batteries on, but if you want to float with the radio on and Connext off, you can power off the Connext screen off by turning main key switch off, then go power the radio on at the head unit.

The lake looks pretty nice in your pictures, bet it was a bit chilly, forecast for Sunday looks excellent!

Beautiful boat. Love the name. Take all those ugly warning stickers off the back of the boat before it sits in the sun and you have permanent rectangles everywhere.

On a side note, have heard some reports that the area near bay point silted in pretty heavily over the winter, some even suggested the channel may be effected. Did you notice any shallows out of the ordinary on your way out to Kelley’s?

Love it. We made our maiden voyage today in our AR250! Lake Wisconsin, WI and it was super windy. Wasn’t sure if we would make it out but 83 outside at noon and decided we couldn’t wait. Went through the break in period and saw someone else at a sand bar with a 2010 LS so we decided to stop and chat. Really shallow for not knowing where the channel/how the channel moves each year from the WI river. Good info and nice people.

Another boat stopped to check out the new model and get a tour! Everyone is really impressed by these boats. Lots of great comments.

The only thing that worried me was the depth finder/alarm. It would go from 5-6ft up to 16ft then 100ft deep and all over the board. The max depth is roughly 20ft. Other than that it was great. Didn’t take enough pics due to the wind and first run. We can’t wait for the next outing!

Yes... lots of sand movements over winter. The normal channel marker is not accurate. Stay closer to battery park side when cutting through. Silt was definitely extended a good 200-300 yards further than normal.... gonna catch some boats off guard for sure. I went out through Bay Point channel and did loop around Kelly’s and then cut back out of Cedar Point past the bar. It got rough and was shot windy yesterday but the boat rode like a dream. Cut through the chop easy. Good 3-4 footers.

Nice. Thanks for the heads up on the channel. I’m helping my parents bring their 53 footer back to cedar point marina from the east coast in a few weeks, will be coming through the channel, should be fun. 5’ draft doesn’t leave much margin for error...

Nice... that will be a fun trip. A family friend owns the Chanticleer - (well they are currently trying to sell it) - 108 footer.... I was invited on a trip to bring it from Canada to its Florida port but was not able to go - dream trip - That should be an amazing trip for you.

Put just about 10 hours on the boat over the weekend - dealership needed the boat back to finish the custom canvas work - so just scheduled them to go ahead and just do the 10 hour service on it as well! Two birds - one trip... hopefully can have the rest of the summer without dealership interruption!

Also, handling was actually really good on the AR250 - chop and low speed - but I can see how the Cobra Jet system should be able to improve it - just ordered the CJS - hope to get it on and installed ASAP before the next launch.
