Borrowed these from a fellow Jetboater over in Birmingham to do some gel coat repair under the bunks. They work great! Such a simple device, but awesome application.

Seems we're both yard boating today. :D

Lol you had Nicole go grab you some tools from the tool box while you laid under the boat? I wished my wife would help me!! She came out in the garage and saw me sweating, bleeding and cursing while in the boat then she turned right back around and went in the house! :D

There's no free rides at my house Kenny. ;) She got out of the SeaDek removal / install last weekend, so she's still winning.

Search removal and install... Yuk. Worse though was tightening up the new scupper... That was a long reach.

When I'm doing boat tasks, I always get the hard sweaty things however, the other 1/2 does a great job organizing the closet and installing a new site rack every so often. When I get the new one on a few weeks, I think there's even some registration numbers and decals that will need to be removed...

Smart Lady. My wife knows not to come anywhere near me when I'm doing any kind of work.

What are those called? I have a small spot under a bunk that I need to fix.

Great setup.

What grit are you using on the old gelcoat, and are you going to spray the new gelcoat? Reason I ask is I have oyster bed damage on my ski, and I have to do the same.

I jacked the boat up off the bunks about 4-5". You could feel a good 1/4" difference between the hull above and the worn down spots. It was very smooth from lkthe old UBBs wearing on it. I rough sanded with 400 grit and cleaned with acetone. I had purchased the spectrum color match gel coat from iBoats and following their directions I went the paint it on route. It was much thinner than the paste I had used before, but I started applying it in layers using a natural fiber chip brush to attempt to rebuild the area. I built it up a little beyond flush (from what I could tell) and let it cure overnight.

We'll see how it turned out today. I plan to sand and polish by hand since the area is still too tight for power tools. I don't really care about a factory shine in this spot, just want to protect the glass.

Great job Bill!!!

Those Jacks actually look super easy to build. Some channel, tubing, Acme threaded rod....BAM

Yep, the Acme rod and nut is the expensive part. I'm sure the fabricators at work can help me find a cheaper source. Otherwise it's pretty stock parts.
