Need help Yamaha 242X display unit

Hello everyone !

Unfortunatly my 12.3 inch display (F3F-U8K12-60-00) unit was stolen from my Yamaha 242X 2020. I have ordered it on boats.net a few moths ago but it`s still "Backordered (no current ETA)". No hope to be it in stock. Can`t use the boat without it. So I`m trying to find it anywhere in used or new condition, ready to buy even not original but similar one to fit my connectors.
Would you please help me to solve my problem? May be someone knows where to buy it or find not original one.

This is why I do not want all of these fancy electronics on my boat. When I bought my new boat I specifically shopped for a boat that did not rely on the screen for the boat to function. It sucks that in the event of a screen failure you can't operate your boat.

Try to drive without screen. I have different screen, but my screen is not working now also, but engine are running and shift are working.

I can`t control many features like fuel level, ballast, speed, rpm etc

Unless you are set on wake sports and need remote ballast control, why not just go without the telemetry until you Get a new screen? If the engines fire and the stereo works boat on, if you have to fill the ballast bags manually so be it, you can use an app like navionics to monitor your speed as well as location. welcome back to the days before connext , medallion, etc. it’s not bad at all.

Bluetooth speakers are relatively inexpensive. Operating without the connext screen/system is not optimal but if the op can get back on the water he may as well v. Losing an entire boating season waiting for a part that is not required to get back on the water.

Why would someone steal a screen like that? Is there that big of a market for Yamaha boat screens?

@Freemans , let me restart. I’m sorry that this happened to you. WTF right?

I’m guessing that if the screen was all that was taken that you were targeted by someone else whose screen broke.

I didn’t realize how much the dash has changed in 10 years. The newer ones look awesome with the single fully integrated touch screen display and even a place for a smart phone. It does suck in the situation though, can’t turn on the blower, bilge pump, etc.

so what are you going to do next?

if it were me I’d try to get the boat sea worthy / safety inspection ready so I could use the boat without connext but I’m not into wakesports so don’t need to dial in my wake.
