Can someone post a photo of proper placement of the two trailering cover support poles on the 165 ID? Thank you.

Here’s a photo of my boat.99000

Sorry, can't provide a picture right now, but the attached image should help you. One pole goes inside the middle seat (in the slot, as far towards the stern as possible) and the other pole goes on the floor as far forward as possible essentially right up against the bow seat (red in image). The main strap with no buckles joins the two poles. The other straps attach to the cleats on all four corners of the boat (black in image).

After using them for 2+ years now, I decided to replace the straps that go to the cleats with a heavy duty bungee cord instead. Had to spend a bit of time adjust them for the proper tension, but it's a lot easier now. I have loops at the tips so I can loop them arond the cleats easily. No adjustments required and no knots with all of those straps. I just kept the main strap that goes between the poles. I'll take a picture when I can.

Thank you very much!!! That diagram is perfect. I really appreciate your help. Loving this boat. Scary fast even with the rpm’s limited for break-in period.

When you get annoyed with the straps, consider bungees. You can thank me later!

I have to put my cover on while on a boat lift, so I came up with a simpler single pole solution. It works quite well, with no rain water pooling on the cover at all. I've attached a couple of photos to show the layout.
