What is the reasoning for the surcharge?
If its mandatory then be honest and reflect it in there list price on the website. Just not a good way to do business.

Its a money grab. That way when the market changes, they can remove the surcharge or waive it without adjusting MSRP

A lot of manufacturers where charging msrp and a surcharge for their boats. Quite honestly, I get it for the 2022 models. OTOH, I don't know how they justify a surcharge when they raised the prices on the 2023 models. ?‍

I suspect that @HangOutdoors has it right.
