I am driving a used car Toyota Prius 2011 for sale (https://carfromjapan.com/cheap-used-toyota-prius-for-sale-year2011) at Japanese platform. My friends laughed and said it is a bad idea and I would regret it very soon. It has been 4 months, I see nothing, my car is running very well, no need for maintenance. I don't get it, why do people feeling shaming on using an old thing? If you are not a rich man, it is not your fault. Spend a small amount to archive your wishing list and save money for your future, is it wrong? How about you? What do you about it?

I work for Carmax so I’m always gonna vote used! There is nothing wrong with a good solid used car. Do your research and your due diligence(inspections, history report etc.) and you will be fine. Besides, why not let someone else take that huge new car depreciation for you!

I would probably not click that link based on he is talking about a Prius with a link that says Subaru Forester on it and all of his other messages seem to be generated and make little sense looks like this user is a bot or a phishing scam

Yea your rite or drunk because Toyota and Subarus two different Vehicles don't know why he was looking at when he posted it.

So is this a new level of notariety of the board that is being targeted by spammers, or is this real?

Looking at replacing our Honda pilot, and when i do the math on used, new always comes on top. These things do not depreciate at all. Chrysler products on the other hand... Msrp for pilot awd exl 38k. Figure 10 years 120k (less optimistic than my 08, at 150k, runs very well) and it's about 3500 every 10k miles. Can't best new... How come.
