New JL Stereo - disappointed, what next?

I wish I could hear your setup. I love JL Audio, but I went with a full Kicker sound system on my AR195. Kicker KMC5 head unit, amps, speakers, tower speakers, subwoofers and RGB led controller. I am very pleased with the sound. Just as good as “Wetsounds” if not better, at half the price.

I have 6 JL M3's and one 10" M3 with a 800/8 and 300/1 for the sub. I cannot go above 18% on the volume without blowing my ears out, I would say you need it properly tuned.

1500 watts, 4x JL 8.8's, 8 x 6", and one 10" in a bandpass - I can never crank it all the way because it's way too loud for anyone near the boat.
