Hey everyone! I just joined and am hoping some of you can help me make a better decision on what I should do for my purchase. I have a 5 year old son who, like me, LOVES being on the lake. I want to get him into wake boarding/water sports but having trouble narrowing down what should be our first purchase. I have a broker boat 2018 AR190 with 10 hours on it that I am looking at but I have heard its worth it to look at a 195 for the power increase. I am a bigger guy (275 pounds) and will have at least another couple or 2 on the boat whenever we go out. Is there that much of a difference or do you think a 190 will be good enough for the first few years for the kiddos before I have to upgrade? Any input would be greatly appreciated!!

Many personal preferences and conditions come into play. It sounds like you will have a blast giving your son some wake time. Consider budget, your tow vehicle, storage place (garage, yard, dock, dry dock, or storage lot), number of people you will have most of the time and which water sport(s) you will most prefer. Most agree going bigger is better; but all of the above come into play.

If you can afford the 195 it's definitely worth it. For pulling out of water power alone. Do highly consider the above comment though on people, towing, etc etc
